Description
Brushless speed sensor for UniTest 2, UniLog and JLog2. To measure the speed, it is simply connected to a supply line of the brushless motor.
In the setup of the UniLog / UniTest 2 / JLog 2, the correct number of measurement pulses per revolution must be specified for the speed measurement. In the case of optical and magnetic sensors, this is the number of propeller blades or magnets. In the case of the brushless speed sensor, this is the number of motor poles. A classic internal rotor such as a Lehner or Hacker motor has 2 poles. An outside runner usually has 10 or 14 poles.
In addition, the gear factor can also be specified. So if the speed of an internal rotor with gearbox is measured with the brushless speed sensor, an attached gearbox can also be included. This gives you the actual propeller speed.
