Advanced communication technology
Optimised communication technology with FHSS spread spectrum and 67-channel pseudorandom frequency hopping delivers fast response, high fault tolerance and stable, interference-resistant transmission across all 16 channels.
Strong interference protection for many simultaneous users
The T16D stays stable even when many transmitters run in parallel at competitions, training sessions and events, making it suitable for racing drones, electronics and tech competitions and other settings needing high signal stability.
Support for ELRS, TBS Crossfire and long-range modules
The T16D supports ELRS, TBS Crossfire and other common long-range modules, letting you set FPV and long-range parameters directly and sync the OS via each module’s script file. Per the documentation the TBS Crossfire Nano TX, TBS Crossfire TX and BETAFPV ELRS Nano TX are supported but, due to size, cannot be inserted directly, so a modified rear grip and separate mount may be needed.
Customisable voice prompts
User-defined voice prompts let you tailor language, form and content to create clear messages for flight modes, alarms and key functions without looking down at the display.
freeRTOS and LVGL GUI
freeRTOS with the LVGL GUI gives a colourful, responsive interface built for continuous updates and easy management of advanced settings directly in the transmitter.
High configurability and 3 ms response
With 512 KB RAM, a 288 MHz main frequency and a 2.8-inch 320 x 240 colour display, the T16D shares the RC8X’s appearance, throttle and gimbals and adds eight switches and four knobs; all 16 channels respond simultaneously down to 3 ms when correctly configured.
16 fully proportional channels
All 16 fully proportional channels are programmable, giving great flexibility for models needing individual control of many servos, functions, mixes or special solutions, from engineering vehicles and robots to helicopters, airplanes and multirotors.
Broad model compatibility
The T16D supports helicopters, airplanes, gliders, multirotors, racing drones, soccer drones, engineering vehicles, racing boats, robots, lawn mowers, bait boats and other RC models, suiting both classic hobby builds and specialised projects.
Built-in simulator function
After a firmware upgrade to V1.7.1 or later, integrated simulator support needs no external dongle: just connect via Type-C for simulators such as TRYP FPV, AeroFly, Uncrashed, Liftoff, FPV LOGIC and Velocidrone on macOS and Windows.
Trainer function with wireless and wired mode
Both wireless and wired trainer functions are supported, with the wireless mode letting the instructor move freely within up to 600 metres without a cable, ideal for flight schools, clubs and training where an instructor may need to take over.
Real-time data from the Flight Controller
In bait boat mode the T16D stores up to 100 named GPS fishing-spot coordinates and shows real-time distance, satellite count, vessel voltage, longitude, latitude and route maps; connected to the Flight Controller, the R16F sends back latitude, longitude, distance, satellite count, heading and more in real time.
32 groups of programmable Mix control
32 groups of programmable Mix control handle multiple functions in advanced models such as oil pumps, hydraulics, chainsaws, buckets, sound modules and indicator lights in simulated excavators; all 16 channels are programmable and Mix controls can be cascaded so one switch drives several channels.
Switch flight mode with one click
After upgrading to firmware V1.8.2 or later, model slots 91–96 hold preinstalled configurations for the A560, D460, SU27, 200 mm soccer drone, 400 mm soccer drone and optical-flow FPV drone F108; the selected mode shows in the main interface and can sync with a voice prompt to avoid using the wrong mode.
Multiple languages
Menu languages include Chinese, English, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Thai and Polish, voice prompts can be customised in several languages, and more are being added per the documentation.
Ergonomic design with many controls
The T16D has four 2-position switches, three 3-position switches, two rotary controls, two self-centring sliders and one trainer switch, suiting recreational flying, competitions, 3D aerobatics and advanced special models.
Wide receiver compatibility
The T16D ships with two 16-channel R16F receivers and is compatible with several other RadioLink receivers for various model types.
- R16F: Standard receiver included in the package
- R16SM: For racing drones and multicopters
- R12F: For wide-ranging RC and UAV applications
- R8FG and R8FGH: For lawn mowers and bait boats
- R8EF: For airplanes and helicopters
- R8SM, R8FM and R8XM: For racing drones and multicopters
- R6FG, R6F and R7FG: For cars and boats
- R4FGM: For mini RC cars
R16F receiver with online upgrade
The included R16F receivers support online upgrade via a Type-C data cable, adding features without extra hardware, and support SBUS, CRSF and PWM, built-in real-time telemetry, model battery telemetry via the EXT battery input and a simulator function after firmware upgrade.
User-friendly parameter setup
A menu structure with navigation reminders keeps parameter setup powerful yet easy, so the transmitter is quick to put into operation.
Reverse-polarity protection and multiple power supply modes
With a standard JST connector and wide input range, the T16D runs on 8 AA batteries, a 2S–4S LiPo or 18650 lithium batteries (max 3S LiPo with an external high-frequency module), and reverse-polarity protection stops current flow if the battery is connected incorrectly.
Efficient power supply for longer battery life
A switched power supply (SMPS) draws 100 mA ±10 mA at 8.4 V DC for up to 50% lower consumption than similar products per the documentation, giving up to around 12 hours of use with an 1800 mAh LiPo battery.

Good to know
Maximum range is tested in open areas without interference and actual range varies with model, installation, antenna placement, environment and signal; the simulator function and online upgrade need a firmware upgrade and a Type-C data cable, and you should always confirm the receiver, signal type, model type, firmware and any long-range module are compatible before use.
The T16D is an advanced radio transmitter and should be used by people who understand RC systems, channel settings, model configuration, power supply and safe handling of models.
