Description
The KAVAN V5 is an entry-level 24-channel RC set using a 2.4GHz transmission system ACCESS or ACCST with full telemetry support. It boasts a superior response time of up to 4ms and a range of up to tens of kilometres. The operating system is the all-new, lightweight and streamlined ECOS, which simplifies the operation, settings and learning curve. V5 can be paired with a wide range of KAVAN or FrSky receivers, telemetry or not, with classic PWM and serial outputs.
The V5 is a compact, lightweight, and portable radio. It is suitable for controlling a wide variety of aeroplanes as well as heli/multicopters. It can also be easily configured for boats or land models. This is enabled by a range of functions and mixes available in the ECOS operating system.
For control, it is equipped with a pair of precise gimbals with potentiometers. Additional functions are controlled via 1 three-position switch, 2 two-position switches, 1 rotary knob, 4 navigation buttons, and 4 digital trims. The layout of the controls and the body ergonomics are based on the proven and extensively tested design of the V20 and V15 transmitters.
The transmitter body is robust and fits perfectly in the hand. Textured grips on the sides and rear of the body provide a firm, comfortable, and secure hold, with all controls within easy reach. Of course, the strength of the centring springs and ratcheting can be adjusted to fine-tune the mode and response according to personal preferences.
The built-in flash memory can store up to 32 models. A USB-C connector is used to access the memory and also serves for charging. Charging of the 2S Li-ion 2600 mAh battery is handled by a built-in balancer.
All KAVAN transmitters are covered by a three-year extended warranty.
